Absolutely devastating news about @NewshubNZ. Heartbroken for the team and the entire news industry in NZ. A thriving democracy relies on good journalism, including diverse perspectives and healthy competition. It is a sad day for Aotearoa.
My aunt says: Notified of flight cancellation by @FlyAirNZ at 9.15am via txt - just 3 hours before check-in closed at 12.30. At 12p I received a message to say check-in closing soon 🤨 Not good enough to cancel a flight so soon before departure and not offer a free alternative.
First @FlyAirNZ cancels my cousins' flight to Melbs with just a few hours' notice.. only option is to fly to Syd (then drive 8h). Then it 'suggests' he transfer his Biz class tix to PremEc - for $700! Well done @FlyAirNZ. Ruining a big family reunion & wasting $$$ tix to #AusOpen
