I started a new position as news editor for the Valley Daily Post in early August. This is an online publication, so the bulk of my responsibility is content management, but I also edit news stories submitted to us and will be writing some stories.

I finished my Santa Fe Community College Professional Readiness for Technical Careers (PRO-TEC) intensive, which was geared toward social media marketing, Office 365 and film. As part of that program, I've started a 100-hour marketing internship at the Santa Fe Botanical Garden.

I'm in the middle of a two-week intensive at Santa Fe Community College called PRO-TEC, which is augmenting my social media and Office 365 skills, with training in film and other areas. It's followed by a 100-hour internship - practical experience putting these skills to use.

Went to Santa Fe Botanical Garden’s GLOW. Not gaudy and raucous like many garden light shows. This adorns the garden with subtle illumination from lasers and other lighting effects. Just completed 2 more courses toward my Graphic Design Certificate: "Using Social Media in Business" and "Introduction to InDesign." InDesign is dangerous: too easy to get lost in exploring all its tools. On to "Introduction to Illustrator" and "Intermediate InDesign."

I just completed this course and it was great. Very useful information on planning and executing a social media strategy as well as how to use analytics to improve results. The classes were very easy to follow. https://t.co/oqXdtaLmcQ
