Typically great thread here (Derek has done 100x more research and writing on apparel/footwear than you could possibly do so save yourself the bother, seriously). Only thing I'd add is transport costs have gone up from a decade ago. But that's marginal compared to these tariffs.

Beware the guys, generally clad in camo, who tell you their version of patriotism is the only correct version of patriotism.

Notwithstanding whatever deals are cut by individual countries I continue to maintain that if the burden of tariffs is essentially split amongst all parties - suppliers, (govt thru subsidies), importers, and consumers, no one will feel the pain intensely enough to change course.

Not sure who's the one to make this happen, but the actual tariff cage match discussion we need is @maphumanintent and @scottlincicome. Whichever side you currently believe is correct (or maybe parts of both?), that would be pretty fascinating.

Great example of the cost pressures US small businesses might face going forward.
