Bucs cornerback Jamel Dean had a pick-six off of quarterback Baker Mayfield today. We’ve seen guys getting their hands on a lot more balls this year in practice, which has been a goal for Todd Bowles after just seven INTs last year.

Bucs wide receiver Chris Godwin, who is recovering from ankle surgery, did not participate in any on-field work today but did watch practice from the sideline and rehabbed inside. The team is hopeful he can be ready for Week 1 but they’re not married to that date either.

This would have been a sack but Tykee Smith was able to strip the ball from Jalen McMillan on what would have been a touchdown during red zone.

Haason Reddick had what would have been a sack of Baker Mayfield working against starting right tackle Luke Goedeke during red zone. Elijah Roberts also had what would have been back-to-back sacks. Anthony Nelson had a would-be sack too.

Bucs All-Pro left tackle Tristan Wirfs did not participate in today’s first minicamp practice. He had a large brace on his right knee. Coach Todd Bowles said it’s an offseason injury and that it’s “precautionary.” He added, “He’ll be fine in training camp.”

Haason Reddick, ladies and gentlemen… Very eager for a fresh new start and to re-establish himself as one of the top edge rushers in the league.
