Regulated price of fuel in Halifax is now $1.731, up from $1.489/litre. That increase of more than 24 cents has nothing to do with the 14-cent carbon tax imposed last week. I'm waiting for those who railed against the carbon tax to damn the oil companies with the same vigour.

Like every Canadian, I am "government-funded" in oh-so-many ways. Elon doesn't get it, but the government of Canada (and Nova Scotia) has no more influence over CBC content than it has over mine.

The big $ for events at publicly-built-owned Scotiabank Centre keeps flowing to 'offshore' mega-scalpers. @TicketAtlantic rouses its-lethagic-self from slumber a few hours/week to take calls from the owners of the place - Nova Scotians - while HRM/NS gov. admit total impotence.
