Through each playoff series, we wondered game to game which Knick team we'd see. After wins, hope. After losses, concern. But we never could confidently say what we thought they'd do each game. Yet I'm to believe that after another year, Tibs' message would finally click? C'mon.

A common denominator among some of the loudest voices screaming that the Knicks made an inexplicably dumb decision (“same ol stupid Knicks yada yada”) — is that those folks didn’t watch Knick games.

I know we're Tibs'd out. But those claiming they're "shocked" he's fired? You BLIND? His future was speculated on when they got manhandled all year by top teams. Again when they struggled vs Det. And again when Indy beat them handily. People texting me, "Tibs staying?" Wake up.

What an escape by Garrett. If any Met has shocked me so far this year with his performance, it's him.

Many national media people that crapped on the Knicks all year now defending Tibs. Cmon.

Tired of hearing "until Tibs the Knicks were awful forever. He changed the culture." Uh, the roster also drastically improved under him the last few years, did it not? Let's not make it seem like no coach besides him could've gotten these recent teams into the postseason.

Four of the Knicks starting 5 excel in transition, excluding Towns. And even he can be a great trailing three-point maker. Yet they plod, afraid to "play the other team's game" by rarely running. Why? Running should be THEIR game. Why can't they run with Indiana? Makes no sense.

Sick of people calling the Knicks "gritty, tough-minded," etc. Tibs brought that. Kudos. But you need more to be champions. Gotta execute consistently. Guys must mesh, compliment each other. Gotta play smart, especially in the clutch. All Tibs' fault? Obviously not. But largely.

Unlike Brunson, Tatum, even Cunningham, for long stretches, sometimes whole games, you don't even know Haliburton is out there. Nothing new for him. Made some seemingly impossible, clutch shots this postseason. But do you know he'll show up in a big spot? Not even close.
