Sad to hear John Curtis has died. He would say the timing is poor withcricket season starting. His loved Worcs CCC will make tributes to JC. I thought he would fight through and both of us would get the benefit of the heater he took to football grounds. Now it will be just cold.

Sorry to hear the news Colin Hart has died. Great boxing writer and good athletics writer , both for the Sun when it was at the top of its game. You had to show Harty you knew what you were doing, he didn’t suffer fools. When you got to know him he was great company and fun.

Big win for Tamworth away to Dagenham&Redbridge that secures National Lge football for next season. Fitting it should be done in the ‘Jack Steggles Derby’ so named by me in memory of my old journalist pal Jack who watched Dagenham in his retirement. Happy memories Jack.
