Gary Gardner has left the Club by mutual agreement.

Neil Harris: "Next year there's no promises. When you release nearly two thirds of the squad it's very difficult to hit the ground running, but me + Bonz have got a lot of experience in this game. We're going to try and get as many right as we can + really look forward to summer"

Neil Harris: "I'm all in on this job. I owe the football club and the fanbase. I promise that, and the changing room. They know what the culture's going to look like. It means a lot to us. We want to be better next year."

Neil Harris: "When I resigned at Millwall I had a couple of months off, so I've got loads of energy. I won't be getting a lot of time off, so I need to apologise to my wife already."

Neil Harris: "We've got 12 players under contract. A couple of them won't be here, either on to pastures new or on loan somewhere because they're younger. Some of the players in the building will be offered contracts, some have been already. Then there'll be a lot of change."

Neil Harris: "I don’t think there should be any doubt about any Cambridge United fan in the ground today about buying their season tickets for next year, because what they saw there should excite them for next season."

Neil Harris confirms that Elias Kachunga is under contract next season having triggered an extension during this campaign.

Play pretty well for a long stretch, have a player sent off and score an own goal. Neat way to sum up a stinker of the season.

I firmly believe U’s can compete at the top of League Two if they fix the number 1 and 9 shirts. Evidenced in that half, a ridiculous soft goal as a cross goes straight in, and Lavery shows what they’ve missed up front with an exceptional finish

Richard Money watching on from the directors box and he can’t say he’s not entertained there.

Roll on one more week to get the season done then a few more days to get most of the squad gone. The club is set up to challenge in League Two next season, with a coach who can deliver success. They won’t have to do much to endear themselves to the fanbase better than this lot.

The only real surprise is that it took Ryan Loft 45 league games to get sent off.

Sickener. The game of game U's lose because of the season they're having and O's win because of what they're having. A real warmth in the ovation United got going off but the result pushes them to the brink.

U’s have done really well there. All Orient before the goal but they’ve been far more restricted since it. Watts and Stevenson both been strong. Terrifically worked goal.

Good to have a little excitement around today. It’s gone from “what date will we be relegated?” to “can we take it to the Burton match?”
