I have nothing to say except that medical PTSD born from medical gaslighting is very real, debilitating, & absolutely confidence crushing in regards to advocating for chronic illness.

So much of ADHD is about immediacy and urgency. I interrupt people accidentally, find waiting hard, jump from task to task, struggle to think anything through - all because things need doing NOW. If something doesn’t need doing right this very minute, it doesn’t get done.

Same. Our level of care, support, & empathy from providers is dutectky tied to how severely our symptoms affect the lives of others. High functioning? Good luck. High needs & imposing on others for survival w/o meaning to? Support doors opened... but no guarantees

I am becoming more & more convinced that neurodiverse patients & students need a translator just as much as a foreign language speaker. We do not express ourselves the way that doctors & teachers are taught to respond to & for. We go unseen & unheard.
