This week I stood on stage in front of thousands of people and delicately approached the topic of men from a place of empathy. In the name of progress and unity. Most people were on board, but some were fucking PISSED. I have a lot to say about it, and want to gather my thoughts in the next few days.

Hold onto your tits. In 2015 I moved to Los Angeles alone, with no friends, no visa and no plan. I’d been in America for maybe 10 days, and was invited to a pre Oscars party at the head of my new agency’s mansion. Exciting. As I stepped inside, it took everything in me, to close my mouth and lower my pointing finger, for I found myself in the biggest room of legit A list celebrities I had ever seen. Dozens of iconic movie stars and directors.

And it’s made me sad. This morning I woke up to my second Daily Mail headline this month… grabbing a juicy little line, out of context, from these long Substack letters that I take hours to write to you all… and soiling it, by turning it into salacious, greasy, tabloid gossip. One of you did this. We have a traitor and a thief among us.

I am a life long insomniac, so this is a big old deal. If you’re already a good sleeper, then you won’t need this article, and also you can GO AND FUCK YOURSELF you lucky, privileged, smug bastard. You are the person I am the most jealous of in the world, you are holding more wealth than you can imagine. I would, without flinching, trade in all the success, money and adventures I’ve had to just be a good sleeper. Insomnia is the absolute ghetto of the mind, body and soul. It’s a life half lived.

*PREPARE FOR LONG SCATHING RANT*A huge women’s magazine posed this question last week, as they published 10 women’s feelings about their facelifts in their early forties. My take is: NO OBVIOUSLY FUCKING NOT. Listen, I am always pro autonomy, and don't disapprove of people’s choices as to how they choose to resolve their physical grievances… but I draw the line at this level of gaslighting.
