Alianza Metropolitan

Established in 1986, Alianza Metropolitan News is a community newspaper that operates both in print and online. For the past 14 years, it has been entirely owned by a Hispanic woman. Since 2006, Alianza News has achieved remarkable recognition, winning 70 national awards for Excellence in Journalism from organizations such as the National Association of Hispanic Publications, New America Media, and the GLADD National Media Award. As a bilingual publication, Alianza News offers content in both Spanish and English, catering to various generations within the Latino community. The editorial focus of Alianza News includes local Bay Area news, as well as state and national updates. Coverage areas extend to Education, Politics, Technology, Immigration, Health, Sports, and Entertainment, all with a specific emphasis on issues relevant to the Hispanic community.
