A controversial minute cap for Super League players has been proposed. Super League clubs will receive documentation around player minute caps next week. The recommendations are that clubs adhere to the proposals, which restrict the minutes players can play over a 12-month period. In total, there are four different minute caps for different player categories – two for forwards and two for backs – and they are split either side of the age bracket of 22.
