American Public Media (APM) stands as the largest public radio organization in the United States, integrating both regional station operations and national content production and distribution into a single entity. APM offers a diverse range of programming, including popular shows like Live from Here with Chris Thile, BBC World Service, and Marketplace®, along with top-tier classical music content. As one of the biggest producers of public radio programming globally, APM's work is broadcasted on over one thousand stations across the country through more than 20 national programs. Its extensive regional operations encompass 49 public radio stations and 42 translators located in the Upper Midwest and California.
