A recent edition of Ocean Home magazine is running a feature I wrote about a family retreat in Marathon, Florida that’s actually more like a private resort, complete with miniature ncgolf experiences. A+A is pleased to re-post the story today:Where an aging 1960s home and guest house once stood on two acres in Marathon, Florida, a 23,000-square-foot retreat crackles with new energy. The current edition of Ocean Home magazine is running a piece I penned about a home in Hampton Bays, designed for a pair of empty nesters from New York. They were lucky to find the lot it’s built on during the pandemic, a fact reinforced by a song they heard almost immediatelty after closing. Then they set about finding the right designer, architect and builder to make their new retreat a reality. Sometimes, serendipity affirms an act of intuition.
