ATV (Turkish TV Channel)
ATV, also known as atv, is a Turkish television network that broadcasts for free and was established in September 1993. The name ATV stands for Actual Television, which translates to Aktüel Televizyonu in Turkish. By August 2013, it had become the most-watched channel in Turkey, boasting a market share of 22%. The network was initially launched by Dinç Bilgin, its first owner. In 2002, ownership shifted to Ciner Medya Grubu, and then to Tasarruf Mevduatı Sigorta Fonu in 2007. Later, ATV was taken over by Çalık Holding's Turkuvaz Media Group, before being sold again to Kalyon Group in 2013.
