Australian Musician
Australian Musician magazine made its debut in December 1995, created by the Australian Music Association as a quarterly, color print publication. Its purpose was to educate, inform, and entertain musicians across Australia, regardless of their skill level. The magazine was initiated by Alex Bolt, a member of the AMA executive committee, and was produced under the guidance of Executive Officer Rob Walker, who served as the Managing Editor. The design and editing were handled by Greg Phillips from Mediaville, who took over as Managing Editor in 2001 and has held that position ever since. The magazine was distributed for free at musical instrument shops throughout Australia.
