There are now more than 5.8 million electric vehicles (EVs) operating in the U.S., according to research conducted by the Alliance for Automotive Innovation. Dan Bowerson, vice president of Energy & Environment Policy at the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, said this equates to about 2% of all vehicles on the road.
