In the beginning, Bar Zine served as a dedicated site for bar reviews, with a quirky twist of including cats in every single write-up. After four years, I decided to shift my focus. I discovered that my true passion lay in writing about books, 80s music, whiskey, and any other random musings that popped into my head, even if my audience primarily sought new bar recommendations. With that realization, I made the bold choice to transform the site into a personal blog, fully aware that I might lose some of my loyal followers in the process.
