Big 12 Conference
The Big 12 Conference is a college sports organization based in Irving, Texas. It is made up of ten universities that are full members. This conference competes at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) across all sports. In football, its teams play in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), which is the top tier of NCAA Division I football. The conference includes ten institutions located in Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia, comprising eight public universities and two private Christian colleges. Furthermore, the Big 12 has 11 affiliate members, with eight participating in wrestling (one of which also competes in women’s equestrian), one in women’s gymnastics, and two in women’s rowing. The Big 12 Conference operates as a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) and is incorporated in Delaware.
