Advice on a DIY head gasket job (with Time Sert install)?

I have a 1997 528i with a blown head gasket and, after much soul-searching on what to do with it (repair, replace engine, get rid of) I've just had a stroke of luck: I've found a guy nearby with the Time Sert jig kit to repair the head bolt threads in the block. These kits are a prohibitively expensive commodity here in Australia, so I'm jumping at the chance, and I'm hoping I'll be able to pull my head, have it machined, Time Sert the block and reinstall it.
Checking If My 2019 BMW 540i Still Has an Extended Warranty

I recently bought a 2019 BMW 540i from a private seller, and they mentioned it might have come with an extended factory warranty. Problem is, they didn’t have any paperwork to confirm it, so I’m not sure if it’s still active or was even included in the first place. Would this kind of info be listed on the original window sticker? Or is there another way to check if the extended warranty was purchased? I’d rather not pay out of pocket for repairs if there’s still coverage left.

I have a 1997 528i with two keys that both start the car, but remote locking/unlocking doesn't work. Central locking does work if I turn the key in the driver's door and boot lid locks, just no remote function.
Possible to correct (i.e. increase) mileage after IKE/LCM swap?

It's looking like I bought myself a bit of a lemon E39, but I'm steadily working through its issues. The latest setback is that the low mileage on the cluster seems to have been too good to be true; it looks like the instrument cluster and LCM were replaced at some point.

Have a 2011 X5 35i w/ 101k miles. Just did the 100k service myself. Yesterday after driving I got the CEL and pulled codes P10E4 and P10D6. Both of these reference the valvetronic relay which I can not find. I was able to get to the Integrated Power Module on the passenger side under the cabin filter and the drain ports were plugged and the bottom of the module was close to sitting in water. My thinking is that water got in/near the power module in that location.
Crank no spark condition developed while waiting for tow after overheat

My 1997 528i started overheating after work a few days ago and I had it towed home. At the time it happened my engine was still running fine, and I let the car cool down on the side of the highway before limping it to a quiet carpark. I tried bleeding air out of the cooling system a couple of times, turning the car off before it got too hot again, but seemed to be getting an infinite supply of air, so after a while I gave up and just waited for the tow truck.
Paint issue with 2025 X6

Picked up my new 2025 X6 in October 2024 and in December noticed paint rippling on back passenger side and bumper. The rear wheel vent also appears melted. (See photos) Anyone have this issue? The first BMW service tech said it looks like someone took a blowtorch to it. (No one did.) Curious what could be causing this? It’s gotten worse over time, too.
