Established in 2001 by Florin Talpeș, who is also the current CEO and primary shareholder, the company specializes in creating and providing cybersecurity solutions. Their offerings include endpoint security, cloud and managed security services, antivirus software, and IoT security solutions. Bitdefender products are available through partners in over 150 countries, with the U.S. market accounting for more than 40% of their revenue. As of 2020, the company had a workforce of over 1,600 employees globally.
