Black Youth Project
The Black Youth Project aims to investigate the views, resources, and culture of young urban black millennials. It will look at how these aspects, along with others, affect their choices and behaviors in important areas like health, politics, and relationships. African American youth face unique challenges related to inclusion and empowerment after the civil rights movement, more so than many other American groups. This project will focus on understanding the opinions of young black Americans regarding the political, cultural, and sexual issues they and their peers encounter. We are particularly interested in identifying new elements that influence the social and political beliefs and actions of African American youth.
