BlackBook

BlackBook

BlackBook is a biannual magazine focused on arts and culture, available at bbook.com. It was originally launched as a quarterly publication by Evanly Schindler in 1996, and has since grown to have a circulation of around 150,000. The magazine explores a variety of topics, including art, music, literature, politics, popular culture, and travel. In 2006, Mr. Schindler sold the magazine to Ari Horowitz. Later, in January 2012, Vibe Holdings, backed by investors like Ron Burkle and Magic Johnson, acquired the publication, creating Vibe Media. By June 2013, Vibe Media Holdings transferred ownership of BlackBook back to Schindler and Jon Bond from the advertising agency Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners.
