Boerne Star

Boerne Star

Established in 1906, The Boerne Star has served as a key source of local news for Boerne and Kendall County, Texas. This newspaper is issued twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and it has maintained its commitment for over 111 years to record the history of Boerne, Comfort, Fair Oaks Ranch, and the surrounding Kendall County region for both today's readers and future generations. The publication began when William Gammon Davis II acquired the Boerne Post and Star in 1906, debuting the first edition under a combined name, but quickly transitioned to the name Boerne Star for the subsequent issue. The Davis family managed the newspaper for 70 years until it was taken over by Hill Country Newspapers, Inc., which also publishes the Bandera Bulletin and the Leon Springs Community News.
