    It’s been a short week, but we’re still ready for the weekend and this one is jam-packed with foodie freebies. Saturday is apparently National Pretzel Day (yep, every day is national something or other day) and this means free pretzels at Auntie Anne’s at their Churchill Square (from 9.30am) and Brighton station (from 8am) locations if you’re passing through.     How’s your festive spirit level? Non-existent or overflowing with mulled wine? Now the lights are up and the temperatures are down, it’s all starting to feel a lot more Christmassy out there. It may still be only November, but with most of the winter fairs kicking off this weekend, Xmas tree farms opening, light trails starting up, and mince pies in the bakeries, we reckon it’s time to give in to the fun.

    We’ve been wondering this week how we’re still always so very surprised at the fact that it’s rainy/windy/sunny/dark/cold (delete as appropriate) at any given moment. “I can’t believe how dark it is already” we’ve said in numerous conversations this week. It’s the end of the summer, OF COURSE it’s getting darker. It literally happens every year. Why are we like this? Answers on a postcard, please.
