The British Red Cross Society represents the UK's part of the global humanitarian network known as the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. Established in 1870, this registered charity boasts over 17,200 volunteers and 3,400 staff members. Their primary mission is to assist individuals in crisis situations, whether in the UK or abroad. The Red Cross is dedicated to offering support to everyone in need, without bias related to ethnicity, nationality, political views, or religion. Until her passing on September 8, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II served as the society's patron.
