At the Schar Center at Inova Fairfax, there is hope for cancer patients not only in the medical breakthroughs and technology at the center to fight cancer, but hope also comes in the shape of a sign in the lobby constructed of inspirational pictures and messages from patients who passed through the center. Members of the Artist-in-Residence worked with patients, staff, family members and caregivers to put together a large collage on the HOPE letters.

Most of the residents of Virginia have a computer but not all the computer owners use the internet and those that do use the internet pay an average monthly price of $86.70 which is 12 percent higher than the national average. Virginians aren't really happy with their coverage says an internet group called "high speed internet." "That ranks Virginia 39th nationwide for internet customer satisfaction," they said.

The Fairfax County Delegation to the General Assembly offered Fairfax County residents and county leaders the opportunity on Saturday, Jan. 4, to share issues of importance and positional statements ahead of the upcoming 2025 session. Nearly all of the delegation’s legislators attended the hearing from its 9 a.m. start, with others arriving as it got started.
