Can-India News, a branch of WMC, launched its English weekly newspaper in tabloid format in March 1999. Celebrating its 22nd year in print, this publication has overcome various challenges and has established itself as a leading source of news in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Despite facing tough times, this vibrant, full-color newspaper earned recognition in 2009 when it was honored as the best community newspaper by the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada, receiving accolades from Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
