CDD Fact-check
Established in 2018, CDD Fact-check is an independent fact-checking initiative operating from the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) West Africa, a legally registered non-profit based in Nigeria. The main office of CDD is situated in Abuja, which is also where CDD Fact-check conducts its activities. The organization is registered under Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with the number CAC/IT/NO 69519. CDD West Africa was founded in 1997 with the aim of rallying global support and resources for democratic development. It serves as an independent platform for critically addressing the challenges faced in the democratization and development processes of West Africa, while also offering alternatives and best practices to help sustain democracy and development in the region.
