The North Bay Police Service has launched a new initiative to address what it says is a growing number of traffic-related complaints from the public. As part of this effort, the Traffic Enforcement Unit is now issuing Traffic Infraction Warning Letters to registered vehicle owners.

Here’s a chance to take an up-close look at real airport equipment, some airplanes, and more. The North Bay Aviation Expo runs from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday at Jack Garland Airport and the surrounding industrial park. A variety of tours are set up, including the runway and airport tower, Canadore College Aviation Campus, the Ministry of Natural Resources hanger and Voyageur Aviation. Activities include a carboard aircraft race, costume and colouring contests, and much more.

The Worst Roads list for Ontario is out from CAA. All of the top 10 are in Southern Ontario. Premier Road in North Bay is third on the northern list with three streets in Sudbury and one in Sault Ste. Marie compiling the regional top five. The city previously announced sidewalk construction, including road resurfacing work, involving more than half of the West Ferris roadway was getting underway this spring.
