The boys’ cross country had three runners win medals at the Tiger Run in Lexington: Silas McManus placed sixth 16.41.60, Brooks Johnson placed 16th 18.40.83, and Cooper Thompson placed 18th 18.58.08 out of 175 runners. Bella Lamb won first place at the 2024 Lexington Tiger Run with a time of 21.29.08. Setting new Personal Records were Ben Hodges, Braxton Johnson and Evan Jensen.

By Kendall PattersonCCI Sports EditorThe Lady Eagles Volleyball sits at 2-1 in their district following a road win over Scotts Hill on Monday, 2-1. Over thew weekend during the Freed-Hardeman University Volleyball Tournament, the Lady Eagles made it to the silver bracket and fell to South Side. Just a few days earlier they fought against South Side at home in a tough district matchup, but ended up falling in the fifth set. During the first set, CCHS won 25-22 ending with a kill by Jordyn Cobb.

By Kendall PattersonCCI Sports EditorWith the return of Friday Night Lights, Eagle stadium was packed and full of sound as Eagles fans were ready to see what the Eagles Football team could do this year. With the final score of 14-10 for the win, the Eagles did not let their friends and family down in the season-opener versus Trinity Christian Academy. After a couple drives by both teams, Trinity was first on the scoreboard.

By Kendall PattersonSports EditorThe Chester County Junior High Eaglettes Softball team faced off versus Ramer last Thursday. The matchup began with the score at 3-2 with Ramer having the lead at the end of the first inning. During the second through fourth innings, the CCJHS girls played good defense to give them a shot at the lead, and during the fourth inning, they did so, leading 5-4. Ramer unfortunately found a way to get six runs in the last inning to give themselves a five run lead.

Friday night lights begin this Friday for Chester County High School at Eagles Stadium in a matchup versus Trinity Christian Academy at 7 p.m.This past week they faced off against Adamsville during the jamboree at home. The junior varsity team was able to score and win 7-0 in their quarter of play. Varsity, on the other hand, had a tough time on the field against the Cardinals in their quarter of play and lost 14-0.
