Cine21 Magazine
Cine 21 is a prominent film magazine in South Korea, originally launched by the Hangyeore newspaper. It made its debut on April 24, 1995, in Seoul, and has been consistently published on a weekly basis since then. The magazine's inaugural editor-in-chief was Seon-hee Cho, a journalist specializing in culture. The very first edition featured notable articles such as "Who is controlling the Korean film industry" and "The vote of 'Korean Film Power 50'." On August 1, 2003, Cine 21 became an independent entity, known as Cine 21 Corporation, separating from Hangyeore Newspaper. As of 2019, the Hankyoreh Media Group holds an 85% ownership stake in the company.
