As someone old enough to remember the Renault 5 Turbo, the new all-electric Renault 5 brings back some great memories from the early 1990’s, when a neighbour ran one in dark blue. It was quick that’s for sure & whilst the new 5 won’t hit the same heights – you’ll have to select the Alpine version the A290 to do that – it’s retro design is still very appealing. We got behind the wheel of the R5 & here’s how we got on. Tell us more ?

Renault have deliberately offered a PHEV version to make it a tempting option in the fleet sector & it’s here that we feel Rafale will have its greatest success.

Ford are driving ahead with their electric models, all of which we’ve driven & have spoken highly about. One new model that won’t be electric though is the latest Ford Transit Connect. The third generation is based on the Volkswagen Caddy a model not designed to be electric & one of the models jointly shared by Ford & VW under their ‘Project Cyclone’ development programme. Arguably, VW have been dealt the better hand utilising Ford tech on the new Transporter & Amarok.
