Connacht Rugby is delighted to confirm that John Devine, Finn Treacy and Harry West have signed Professional contracts for the 2025/26 season. As exclusively revealed at the Connacht Rugby Awards on Saturday night, the trio will make the move to the Pro team setup after coming through the Academy pathway system.

Ben Murphy and Orla Dixon were the big winners of the 2025 Connacht Rugby Awards, presented by Globalization Partners. The pair won the coveted Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year awards, capping off an incredible year for the duo. Murphy was also named Fans’ Player of the Year, while Shayne Bolton took home the Try of the Year award. 17 award winners were named in categories across the domestic, pathway and senior setups, with nearly 600 people in attendance at the Galmont Hotel in Galway.

The Connacht Rugby matchday squad has been named for tomorrow’s BKT United Rugby Championship meeting with Zebre in Parma (k/o 5pm Irish time). There are four changes from the side that played Edinburgh last week. Joe Joyce comes into the second row while Shamus Hurley-Langton has recovered from injury to start at openside flanker. Paul Boyle also comes in at number 8, while David Hawkshaw is named at outside centre.

The Connacht Eagles squad has been named for their final IRFU A Interprovincial Championship game of the season, with a visit to Munster. John Devine captains the side from inside centre, with kick-off at 3pm at Lansdowne CBC in Cork. The game will be streamed live by Munster Rugby. Connacht Rugby can confirm the players who will depart the club at the end of the season. As previously announced, JJ Hanrahan and Andrew Smith will move to Munster, while Adam McBurney and John Porch were granted early releases from their contracts during the season to take up playing opportunities elsewhere.
