But Joyce, do not forget I am a terrible man and soooooooo bad. Three women told me that but each of them care about me and all three deeply because I am transparent and they all know that what is in my head eventually goes out my mouth whether it gets me in trouble or not. These are real women, the kind that hang around here. To be able to say what one means and means what one says, one has to have a "devil may care" attitude that at times exposes one to danger.

Listening to CSPAN coverage of this morning’s House Hearing on USAID, I was especially vexed by the self-righteous bloviating of Congressman Bill Keating as he tried to perform a verbal sleight of hand trick by proclaiming that it’s “the Russians” who are the most notable critics of USAID, and that the Americans who wish to dismantle the baleful agency are infected by the same anti-Democratic spirit. Will the people of Massachusetts buy this deceptive nonsense?
