CUNY TV
CUNY TV, the television station of the City University of New York, has been a source of education and information for over 30 years. Launched in 1985, the station has progressively expanded its vision and capabilities. In 2009, it upgraded to high definition and began broadcasting over-the-air in addition to its cable services. Today, CUNY TV reaches 7.3 million households across the New York metropolitan area, dedicated to promoting the university's mission of providing lifelong learning for all New Yorkers. Gail Yancosek, who has been with CUNY for a decade and has four decades of experience in commercial television, serves as the Interim Executive Director. CUNY TV has earned 20 New York Emmy® Awards and received over 100 nominations, along with other esteemed accolades like the Telly Awards and Communicator Awards.
