Investigations into the cyber incident it suffered back in August have shown no signs of malicious activity, according to Australian critical infrastructure and software supplier Energy One. The incident, which led to its corporate systems across Australia and the UK being compromised, was first detected on August 18. The incident also saw the personal information of some of its former and current employees breached.

An attack on the website of the British Royal Family that saw it taken down has been claimed by pro-Russian hackers. The site, which serves as a place that shares knowledge on the workings of the Royal Family as well as news, was taken down for an hour on Sunday. The attack was claimed by the Killnet threat group, a collective known for taking down government websites and agencies through denial-of-service (DoS) and distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.

Websites belonging to Canadian military and government agencies have been hit by India based hackers, resulting in outages according to new reports. The group reportedly behind the attack, ‘Indian Cyber Force’, was quick to claim the attack, posting screenshots on X (formerly Twitter) showing that both the Canadian Air Force website and the Canadian Elections and Democracy sites were both offline, on the 28th and 27th of September respectively.

At least 60,000 emails have been stolen from the US State Department after Chinese hackers breached Microsoft’s Exchange email service. State department officials announced in a Senate staff briefing that back in May, tens of thousands of emails from 10 state department accounts, nine of which were in East Asia and the Pacific, and one was in Europe, according to an anonymous staffer of Senator Eric Schmitt.
