The idea behind Dad Gear Review didn't spring from a single moment of clarity, but rather from numerous instances of annoyance. It emerged from experiences like that tent that let water in during a rainstorm in the jungle, the backpack that made a loud noise with every step on a hike through the Grand Canyon, and those hiking boots that caused painful blisters. The frustration didn't end there; finding better gear turned out to be its own challenge. While there are plenty of gear review websites out there, we couldn't find one that truly understood our needs and experiences.
