I’ve been so curious about Violette_Fr since seeing it on the vanities of the chicest people I follow online. Not to mention that the founder is so effortlessly cool and gorgeous that I’d buy anything she says I need. Violette Serrat is a French makeup artist who created her own line of perfect beauty basics including skincare. Her Boum Boum Milk moisturizing mist has people raving and for good reason.

If there is anyone who has zero interest in following a trend, it’s Jenna Lyons. She does what she wants, wears what she wants and expresses her true self in her personal style. Everything she does feels comfortable and on her terms? She’s hugely successful, stylish as hell, and doesn’t have to be loud about anything in order to be heard. One of my little fixations is beauty spotting in TV and film.

Charlotte Tilbury is a perfume lover, and there is no question about that. Her first perfume, Scent of A Dream was drop dead gorgeous and quite brave in this age of clones and smell alikes. Scent of a Dream always reminded me of my favourite eighties chypres like Ungaro Diva, Paloma Picasso and Patou 1000.

Some skincare items become such integral parts of my routine they’re like an extension of my arm, like car keys or my mobile phone. The first one to do that was Vichy Mineral 89 & frankly it’s still my favourite hyaluronic acid serum to date. The next skincare item to become one with my face was The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, an iconic niacinamide skincare product that took the world by storm. These two main ingredients are perfect for us oily skinned acne prone types though.
