DapperQ
DapperQ stands out as one of the most popular digital magazines focused on queer style, making it a key player in the realms of queer fashion and beauty. Our mission is to encourage individuals of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions to view queer fashion and beauty as not just art, but also as a form of visual activism, fostering a richer connection with their personal style. As Anita Dolce Vita puts it, “dapperQ is a queer fashion revolution, one of the most stylish forms of protest of our generation.” What began ten years ago as a personal blog dedicated to masculine style has transformed into a dynamic multi-platform brand. This includes hosting panels, fashion shows, and celebrating the diverse range of queer styles alongside our partner project, Hi Femme! Our extensive original content and events have gained attention from major media outlets such as The New York Times, HBO, NBC News, Vanity Fair, Vice, Nylon, Refinery29, The Daily Beast, The Huffington Post, and The Washington Post, among others. Our events have been featured in prestigious cultural institutions, including the Brooklyn Museum, the Institute for Contemporary Art in Boston, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, and the California Academy of Sciences. Notably, dapperQ organized the first-ever queer style panel at SXSW during the official 2016 Sxstyle showcase, and we were invited back in 2017, 2018, and 2019 as recognized experts in the fields of ungendering beauty and fashion.
