Dark Moon Digest

Dark Moon Digest

Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing (PMMP) is a small publishing house located in San Antonio, TX, founded in August 2012 by Lori Michelle and Max Booth III, inspired by a lively night of good drinks and tasty nachos. They focus mainly on horror and crime fiction, but are open to exploring other genres if a project catches their interest. Before creating PMMP, both Booth and Michelle volunteered for a quarterly horror magazine called Dark Moon Digest (DMD), which was then owned by Stan Swanson of Dark Moon Books. Their experience with the magazine connected them to the indie horror scene, introducing them to a mix of talented individuals and some eccentric personalities. This sparked their adventurous urge to launch their own small press, which they have successfully done, as you can see from the ABOUT THIS COMPANY section of the site. Their debut title was Cruel by Eli Wilde, released in January 2013. As for their final title, it remains uncertain, since they are not planning to stop anytime soon due to their stubborn nature. However, it’s likely to be a derivative of House of Leaves that could lead to legal troubles and financial woes.
