Dungog Chronicle

The Dungog Chronicle, which was initially known as the Durham Chronicle and Dungog & Williams River Advertiser, is a bi-weekly English newspaper based in Dungog, New South Wales, Australia. Founded by Walter Bennett, the newspaper made its debut on June 12, 1888, under its original name. It continued to operate under this title until February 28, 1893. On March 7, 1893, it transitioned to its new name, The Dungog Chronicle: Durham and Gloucester Advertiser. In its early issues, the newspaper highlighted that it was "the only paper published in the Durham electorate."
