    It turns out Family Fun Night at Thatcher Park on June 6 was about more than fun. Kathy Grimes, executive director of the Graham County Substance Abuse Coalition, which partnered with the town of Thatcher in organizing the event, said the primary aim of the event was to increase family communication. "People are busy; kids are busy," she said. "Any opportunity they get to communicate with their kids; any time parents can talk to their kids is really important.”Nevertheless, the fun was plentiful.
