    Disney Cruise Line’s upcoming mega ship Disney Adventure has reached a major construction milestone. The vessel was floated out at Meyer Werft shipyard in Wismar, Germany this past weekend, joined by Captain Mickey, Captain Minnie, and a crowd of cheering spectators. The moment was celebrated with fireworks as a tugboat carefully guided the ship’s bow out of the building. Adventure is now docked where she will stay for the next few months as construction continues.

    Holland America’s ship Oosterdam has emerged from dry dock with a number of upgrades and enhancements. The vessel spent the last two weeks in dry dock in the Bahamas, and is now en route from Fort Lauderdale to Europe for the summer season. Interior design and technical updatesDuring Oosterdam‘s dry dock, around 215,000 square feet of new carpet was installed in all suites, balcony staterooms, and various public areas.

    Viking announced on Thursday that its newest Nile River ship, Viking Amun, was floated out at the shipyard. A vessel’s float out is a major construction milestone, marking the first time it touches water. The float out ceremony took place at the Massara shipyard in Cairo. The vessel is now moving to the final stage of construction at an outfitting dock for more work — including interior build-out.

    Inter Miami CF (Club International de Fútbol Miami) and its main partner Royal Caribbean once again teamed up to bring the wishes of 23 Make-A-Wish kids to life. From April 12th to 15th, wish kids and their families came from across the country to fulfill their wish of meeting the Inter Miami CF First Team including Club captain Lionel Messi. This marks the second full team Make-A-Wish initiative held by Inter Miami CF and Royal Caribbean, the first of which took place this past September.
