Enobytes
Enobytes, which combines "Eno," short for Enology (the study of wine and winemaking), and "bytes," a unit of digital information, has been in operation since 1996. Initially, founders Marc Hinton and Pamela Heiligenthal offered consulting services tailored to the wine and restaurant sectors in the San Francisco area. Over the years, the company has undergone significant transformation. In 2001, they secured the Enobytes domain and began developing the website. By 2006, the online platform Enobytes.com was launched, allowing them to share their enthusiasm and expertise in wine and food with a global audience. Today, Enobytes.com attracts thousands of visitors and millions of page views each month from more than a hundred countries. Alongside their work at Enobytes.com, Pamela and Marc also write as wine bloggers for OregonLive.com (in a section called Wine Bytes) and About Face Magazine. They are featured on Portland’s “Vine Time” on News Radio 750 KXL and on California’s Central Coast with the program “From the Growing of the Grape to the Glass” on KUHL-AM 1410.
