Ethiopian Press Agency
Founded in 1940, the Ethiopian Press Agency is a public media organization based in Ethiopia. It is the exclusive publisher of the only daily newspaper in Amharic, titled “Addis Zemen.” Additionally, the agency publishes “The Ethiopian Herald,” an English-language daily that is not released on Mondays. Among its weekly publications, it features “Berissa,” which is printed in Affan Oromo, and “Al-Alem,” available in Arabic. The agency also produces a bi-monthly magazine called “Zemen” in Amharic. With a workforce of over 300 employees, the Ethiopian Press Agency manages its operations through revenues generated from its own activities.
