European Handball Federation

Established on November 17, 1991, the European Handball Federation (EHF) serves as the central organization for handball across Europe, representing 50 member federations and two affiliated federations. Based in Vienna, Austria, the EHF is tasked with overseeing and coordinating some of the most prestigious and competitive handball events in the world, such as the EHF Champions League and the EHF EURO championships. In addition to hosting these prominent tournaments, the federation also plays a vital role in managing player transfers, supporting grassroots initiatives, and facilitating educational programs. Promoting various aspects of the sport, including beach handball and wheelchair handball, is also an essential part of the EHF's mission.
