It’s doubtful there was a dry eye at the 2025  ACM Awards when Alan Jackson performed. The 66-year-old sang “Remember When,” a song Jackson wrote by himself, which was released in 2003. Images of Jackson’s legendary career flashed behind him, as Jackson fought back tears while singing the emotional song. Jackson’s performance came right before he was given the inaugural Alan Jackson Lifetime Achievement Award. The ACM Awards host, Reba McEntire, presented him with the award.

Reba McEntire has a new song out, with two of country music’s biggest hitmakers. The Country Music Hall of Fame member debuted “Trailblazer” at the 2025 ACM Awards, joined by Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert . Wilson and Lambert wrote the song with Brandy Clark, using McEntire as inspiration. “We were like, ‘Okay, we’re going to do a song with Reba — what kind of song do we write?” Lambert recalls to Billboard.

Ella Langley was the most nominated artist heading into the 2025 ACM Awards, and she also walked away with the most wins. Langley won a total of five trophies, including ACM New Female Artist of the Year, as well as ACM Single of the Year, ACM Music Event of the Year, and ACM Visual Media of the Year (as artist and producer), the latter three for her “You Look Like You Love Me” duet with Riley Green. Not since Chris Stapleton in 2015 has a first-time nominee walked away with five ACM Awards.

Wilson was crowned Entertainer of the Year, a category that also included Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll.
