Falls Church News-Press

The Falls Church News-Press is a weekly publication located in Falls Church, Virginia. It was established in 1991 by Nicholas F. Benton, who serves as the Owner and Editor-in-Chief. In his editorials, Benton often refers to the publication as the "paper-of-record" for the city. The idea for the periodical originated from a presentation he made to the local Chamber of Commerce, where he shared his vision of promoting the services of local businesses. Following his presentation, he received the Chamber's endorsement and a list of 250 businesses to contact. Out of those, 130 agreed to advertise in the publication. With their postcards showing their commitment as collateral, Benton was able to secure initial funding to launch the Falls Church News-Press.

This Tuesday’s meeting of the Falls Church Economic Development Authority ended on a downer note when the region’s overriding issue of the year was verbalized. It had to do with the impact so far on the local economy and businesses of the federal job layoffs imposed by the Trump administration since the inauguration of Trump to a second term just over four months ago.

Noonan will be departing his post here on the last day of this month, but don’t think you’ve seen or heard the last of him.
