The Whites announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website earlier this evening. The 26-year-old defender will officially become a Real Madrid player on 1 July 2025 when her contract with former club Everton expires. It has been reported that Holmgaard has agreed an initial two-year deal with the Spanish giants.

Durham full-back Grace Ayre has signed a new long-term contract with the club. The Wildcats announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon. The 23-year-old is a product of the Durham academy system. She has made the successful step up into the first team in recent years and is one of the most highly-regarded full-backs in Barclays WSL2. Ayre has made 76 appearances for Durham in all competitions.
